Joshua Tree Music Festival

Music can change the world because it can change people.
— Bono

Joshua Tree National Park is one of the most beautiful and mystical places in the country. The incredible landscapes, stunning vistas, surreal night skies, and the iconic trees for which the park is named make a visit to Joshua Tree a worthy bucket list item.

The bi-annual Joshua Tree Music Festival is another great reason to visit the area. The next uber-popular event, October 10-13, will again draw people from around the world. Founded in 2003, Joshua Tree Music Festival has a stellar reputation for showcasing, in their words “up & coming, white-hot, have-to-see-them-now-before-they-get-big” musicians. The music is diverse and eclectic, ranging from dance-world-electro-funk’n groove to soulful global-ethno tunes. It’s such a celebrated event that many festival alumni have gone on to have grammy-winning careers.

This year’s lineup includes many not-to-be-missed performances, including:

Lowdown Brass Band – This Chicago based ensemble features a killer brass section, delivering dynamic, funk-driven, soul-inspiring music.

Adryon de Leon – A sizzling voice in the world of funk, de Leon’s performances are ripe with attitude backed by a voice full of control and sweetness.

The Stephen Lewis Big Fun Duo – Hailing from New Brunswick, Canada the duo delivers energetic, hard-not-to-move-your-body performances, fusing organic and electric sounds with house beats.
