Thanksgiving Weekend at Parker Palm Springs

“When I started counting my blessings,
my whole life turned around.”
— Willie Nelson

Thanksgiving is one of America’s most cherished times of the year. A time to spend with family, count our blessings, and enjoy the bounty of this great country. This Thanksgiving season, Parker Palm Springs offers the ideal blend of sense and sensibility to help you and your family celebrate in style. Relax, play, laugh, and enjoy a great meal all within the comforting surroundings of our luxurious estate. It is the perfect location for a perfect Thanksgiving in Palm Springs.

This year, make it an extra-long holiday weekend. Arrive Wednesday and leave Sunday or Monday. It will ensure plenty of time to enjoy the company of family and friends. Once here, you do not have to worry about cooking, cleaning, or shopping, allowing you to take a genuine break and enjoy true relaxation.

Here is our suggested family Thanksgiving itinerary

Wednesday Post check-in, meet in the living-room, our unique and comfortable lobby seating area. Enjoy refreshments in this stunning environment that is sure to inspire conversation as you catch with each other. In the evening, meet up for a stroll through our lush, private gardens, which include numerous citrus trees, giant palms and hammocks.

Thursday – Make it a day for on-property family activities, then enjoy a Thanksgiving feast. Parker Palm Springs boasts three gorgeous swimming pools, a renowned on-property spa, and unique estate activities such as Pétanque, Croquet, and Terre Battue Tennis. There is something for everyone in your entourage.

Later, gather at mister parker’s, our venerable dining establishment, for a Thanksgiving meal worthy of the occasion. Chef Pedro Baroso and his brilliant team are serving a delicious Thanksgiving meal, including roast turkey and all the traditional trimmings. There will also be a few dishes with our signature twist, including butternut squash soup and white truffle pumpkin risotto.

Friday & Saturday There are so many things to do for families in Palm Springs.
Concierge Chris Morano offers a few of his favorite Palm Springs adventures for families. “When you venture out of the property’s fabled orange doors and white Brise-Soleil you are entering an enchanted desert wonderland,” Chris says.

•  Visit the top of the desert’s tallest peak via the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
•  Hand-feed breakfast to a Giraffe at the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens
•  Enjoy amusements at the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert
•  “Hang ten” at the new Palm Springs Surf Club
•  Adventure on horseback at nearby Smoke Tree Stables

Speak with Chris in advance to secure a space at some of the most sought-after activities.
He says there are also options for those that enjoy a more relaxed kind of adventure.

•  Visit famous architecturally significant homes with a Mid-century modern tour.
•  Take in a holiday performance of the Tony Award®-winning musical Come From Away performed at the beautiful McCallum Theater.

Exploring Palm Springs is another favorite activity. Wander at your own pace, discovering the many shops, boutiques, cafes, and restaurants that the town is famous for. You can explore using our complimentary bicycles.

After a day of exploring and adventure, gather your clan for an evening around our outdoor fire pit, a place Chris calls “magical.” Here, under the starry desert night sky, toasting s’mores together with the special people in your life, it is easy to see how much there is to be thankful for.
