Parker Palm Springs Golf

“You swing your best when you have the fewest things to think about.”
— Bobby Jones

Of all the things Parker Palm Springs offers — exceptional accommodations and service, renowned dining and libations, and incredible activities and surroundings — perhaps what we really do best is ensure guests have a chance to truly relax.

Our lush, desert oasis, spread over 13 private acres provides the perfect environment to escape, wander, and maybe even dream a little.

It starts with three sparkling, heavenly-touch temperature swimming pools, each with its own subtle ambience. From Terre Battu tennis courts to Pétanque, and palm tree hammocks to an evening firepit for toasting s’mores while star gazing, you will discover so many ways to let your shoulders drop, stretch out, and unwind.

If all of this helps your golf game, as Mr. Jones suggests, then so much the better.

Palms Springs is a world golf-destination leader, and the variety and difficulty of courses ensures that there is a perfect course just for you, or your group. Chris Hagen, Chef Concierge at Parker Palm Springs say golf is a terrific opportunity for groups to get to know one another. “It is a wonderful activity for wedding parties or business organizations to spend the day together.”

For those in your group not wanting to put on the spikes, Chris says there are plenty of other options — hiking, shopping, lounging poolside in a private cabana — to entertain them while the rest of you are on the links.

We suggest your Palm Springs golf trip morning begin at Norma’s, our open-air terrace restaurant. Minimalist or extravagant, a delicious morning meal will ensure you are fortified for the day ahead. Now, the only question is, which golf course?

For most people, desert golf is a unique experience and there are three renowned courses within 10 minutes of our property. While none of them require that you wear plus-fours, all of them invoke the spirit of Bobby Jones.

Indian Canyons

Two courses – North and South – offer incredible golf in a stunning setting. Chris says the South Course is her favorite. “It is so beautiful. You drive in and the mountains are right there. It has wider fairways and is user friendly.” The equally amazing North Course, with its hole placements, is more challenging.

Escena Golf Club

Ranked as the #6 public golf course in California by the PGA, this Nicklaus Design course is a formidable test but offers four sets of tees and generous fairways that will accommodate all levels of play. Chris recommends taking in the views from the clubhouse too.

Tahquitz Creek

The epitome of Palm Springs resort golf, Tahquitz Creek offers two fantastic choices, the Resort Course, and the more difficult Legends Course. The 50-stall grass driving range, chipping green, and two large putting greens ensure plenty of room for everyone to hone their game before teeing off.

There are hundreds of courses in and around Palm Springs, from short 55-par affairs that are fun and accessible to the many PGA WEST courses made famous over the years by so many of golf’s greatest players. Whatever your needs and ability, contact Chris and her team in advance, and they will help you book the course that is right for you.

After a day of fun, exercise, and maybe even a birdie or two, the perfect 19th hole awaits you at Parker Palm Springs. Libation in hand, recounting the shots of the day with friends old and new, you might just feel that on this occasion, there are more important things than the actual score.
