Hollywood and Palm Springs have had a long and lustrous relationship. From the early days of the Golden Age of film, through the exciting time of young directorial breakthroughs of the ’60s and ’70s, and into this century, our town is where Hollywood has come to relax, play, and escape their agent. Now, with the Palm Springs International Film Festival here, there will be a little business thrown in.
This year, from January 5 – 16, the film world will be in town to celebrate the best films and performances of 2022. Films from more than 60 countries will be screened and the awards ceremony, hosted by Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner, will honor actor Brendan Fraser with a Spotlight award.
