Renowned internationally from his time working in destinations such as Istanbul, Dubai, and Miami, Chef Barosa says Parker Palm Springs is an opportunity unlike any in his career. “I am so impressed with the level of service and attention to detail. Inspired by the bounty and quality of our local ingredients, Chef Baroso says he will focus on Mediterranean flavors, infused with California freshness. “I have a passion for simpler food with a depth of personality and soul,” he says.

Having recently completed a celebrated run at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, DC, Chef Baroso is looking forward to creating something special at Parker Palm Springs. “There are many wonderful dining options here on property, including mister parker’s. Born in the pastoral town of Cavide in Portugal, Chef Baroso’s roots continue to inform his food philosophy. “I was raised in a food rich environment and farm-to-table cooking was a part of daily life,” he says, “as was the bounty of the sea. Growing up, I would cook for my father, using ingredients from our garden. It inspired my love of food.”
Chef Baroso says food is one of life’s great pleasures. “Meals are meant to be savored,” he says, “and our menu will focus on fresh ingredients and deep flavor.”
For Chef Baroso, a key part of relaxing well is eating well. “A memorable meal stays with us long after we leave the table,” he says. “Much like my first visit to Parker Palm Springs, I could not stop thinking about this incredible place.”
